Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is strategic and near Pasar Payang, good because it's nearby shops and offers better than basic comforts by the riverside. The rooms have 2 single beds and are okay, but the bedsheets are dirty with stains and smelly, towel very dirty, tea facilities very poor, water heater not working, and the lighting is very bad with only 1 working bulb.
Although the hotel's facilities are a little dated and not overly comfortable, my stay was as promised during booking, but the rooms were not very clean and had a slight odor. The service was mostly attentive and satisfactory, except for a lack of information assistance. Its location is quite good, being close to local attractions and within the city center. The dining experience was satisfactory with decent breakfast options. The facilities were average, and the value for money was acceptable.
The hotel is strategically located near Chinatown and just 11 minutes away from Pasar Payang, offering a good view of the waterfront. The rooms were facing the Chinese temple, which was not ideal for a Muslim like me but as promised during booking. The service was friendly at reception and in the restaurant, although not really helpful in providing information. The dining experience was satisfactory with a decent buffet spread, but breakfast was not included. The hotel's proximity to local attractions like Pasar Payang and cafes is a big plus.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. While the location was convenient and close to many local amenities, the rooms were in need of refurbishment. The service, especially towards European customers, was excellent, but the cleanliness could be improved. The dining options were limited, but the hotel facilities were satisfactory. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
Before I entered the room, I noticed the lobby wasn't clean, but thankfully the room was spotless with individual air-conditioning units. All this for RM250 felt like a 4-star hotel.
Although the rooms faced a busy road with no privacy due to the need to keep the curtains drawn, they were nice and clean. The noise from the road, especially cars racing at night, could be disturbing. The service was competent and friendly but a bit slow. The hotel location is a key advantage being close to the city center, especially Pasar Payang, providing easy access to the main attractions of Terengganu. The dining experience offered a decent Malaysian menu with good variety. Overall, the hotel provides a good value for money stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location is truly amazing for backpackers being on a river bank at the end of the city, near to several tourist spots. However, the room had issues with a damp, moldy carpet smell and dirty, stained bed sheets. The service was a bit old and not well-maintained, with limited parking and reception staff not being very helpful. The dining experience was okay, offering local delights and a Western breakfast but still lacking in some aspects.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was great, close to many attractions in the city center, but the rooms had a spooky and old vibe. The service provided by the staff at the reception was friendly, and the prices were affordable compared to the service offered. The dining experience was good overall, with some delicious options available, but there were a few letdowns. The facilities were decent but could use some improvements.
Staying at the Family Suite in this hotel was a pleasant experience. The room was quiet with a pretty view, large, and clean. The service was friendly, but slightly slow. The location was convenient for exploring the city and shopping. The dining was good with a variety of Asian choices. The facilities were decent.
My stay was a mix of positive and negative aspects. The hotel's location was excellent, near the town and other interesting places, right next to Chinatown, which was wonderful. However, the room I received was not the one I booked, which was a bit disappointing. The service, especially the housekeeping staff, was friendly and helpful, making my family feel welcome.
The hotel has a pretty view and is quite comfortable, but needs refurbishing. It is clean enough and good for a basic night's rest. The service is competent but slow, lacking good communication skills and courtesy. The location is convenient, close to Chinatown and the waterfront. The dining has variety but could offer more Malay cakes and improve service. The facilities are average.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was quiet and offered a pretty view, but I was disappointed to find no wifi reception in my room and that breakfast was not included, based on the type of room booked.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel with a pretty view from my quiet room, although it faced the street. The service was friendly but a bit slow at times. The location was great, right in the heart of the city, near Chinatown and other attractions. The dining options were varied and satisfying, catering to all guests.
The hotel is conveniently located at the end of China Town/Street in Kuala Terengganu, offering easy access to nearby shops and markets. The rooms are clean and carpeted with individual air-conditioning units, ideal for a place to sleep, although lacking a balcony. The service was detailed about check out time but not particularly courteous. The dining experience had some issues, including leakage at the air conditioning and not very friendly staff. Overall, a strategic location for tourists with room for improvement in service and dining.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center of town near various attractions. The rooms are bright, comfortable, and spacious, although privacy could be an issue due to the busy road. The service was friendly, but there is room for improvement in communication skills. The dining experience was average with limited options. Overall, a good value for money stay with a few drawbacks.
